Tin is a plug made of tin, with a small amount of copper and antimony added to give strength’ Considered the fourth largest in the world after the precious metals platinum, gold and silver, its ability to withstand time and its a great glossy Conference, especially when in the form of plates, cups, figurines, etc’ Unlike the silver The tin does not require polishing or any other care’ Will not rust, tarnish or deteriorate in any way in time’

The good news is that the tin does not tarnish like silver, so a periodic cleaning with all the polish of metal fins to continue’ Pewter polish can be found at most hardware stores or specialty craft’ Do not use any other kind of polish the silver or bronze, which can ruin the finish on your pewter’

There are some things to monitor and take into account when cleaning pewter’

1′ Pewter can be stained or against certain foods such as citrus juice, the types of salad dressing, etc, so please do not forget to wash your items immediately after use with hot soapy water’ Do not use bleach or detergent Rudes’
2′ Always hand wash rather than placing them in the dishwasher’
3′ Do not place in oven on a hot plate, hot or near the flames because it is easier than the other types of molten tin metal’ Tin melts at 450 degrees’
4′ When polishing, use flexible, non-abrasive cloth’

Do not want to miss in the stores to buy their tin polish? You can do at home for a few simple ingredients that are in the house in May’ Mix one spoon full of vinegar, salt and flour’ Gently rub in a circular motion to shine your pewter’ This should not happen very often, only when necessary’
